Why should YOU care about it?
The mere fact that necromancy is indeed a thing shows that the human soul does not just - poof! - vanish out of existence after death. Where does it go then? What happens after death? This question should concern every single one of us because if the soul doesn't die, then we will keep existing somewhere forever.
Looking at the credibility of the Bible it is advisable to trust what Jesus says about this topic.
The Bible tells us very clearly that there is only two options for where we will go after death. We will either be with God or without God for all eternity, and that decision we have to make ourselves in life. Every human being on this earth has to decide whether they want to open their heart to Jesus and let him be the Lord of their life, or whether they want to keep disbelieving. The people who either actively decide against God or just don't care about God at all will spend all eternity without God. And that, says the Bible, is called hell. The absence of any good.
Do you want to go to hell for all eternity where nothing good is to be found?
You probably think you are actually quite a good person. There is so many bad people out there, but you never killed anyone and you didn't rob a bank. But have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen something? Have you ever used God's name in vain? Have you ever looked at a woman with lust?
The holy God says it very clearly:
"Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Cor 6:9)
"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Mt 5:28)
Whoever does one of these things, if YOU have done one of these things, you will be sent to hell one day. You can't negotiate with God or claim that you did so many good things in your life; that you gave all your money to charity or that you offered a home to 81 orphans. It does not matter. When you are on trial for parking violation the judge won't let you go for helping that old lady across the street the other day. You parked your car in the wrong spot - you pay the fine, everything else has no effect on it.
There is only one way the judge does not have to punish you, and that is if someone else pays the fine. It has to be paid though.
And that is what Jesus did for you when he laid down his life for you and I on the cross. God treated Jesus as if he was carrying the sins of every human on his shoulders, and let him suffer in our place. Forgiveness! What a powerful word. How do we receive it though?
The Bible tells us very clearly how we can claim this act of grace and receive forgiveness for our own sins by the death of Jesus: repent your sins, everything you have done against God's will in your life, change your lifestyle, stop living in sexual immorality and debauchery, and lastly open your heart to Jesus. Let him come into your life and give him control over every part of your life. Every part means every part. That's the unique, unlimited freedom the Bible speaks about: to give Jesus absolute control over your life so that you don't have to worry about a single thing anymore. If you worry it means you didn't give him full control in that aspect of your life yet.
If you like yourself at least a little bit you should wake up and realize that you have to make a decision here and now in this life that leads to either eternal happiness or eternal torture for you. There is no way around it and there is no third option.
Now you might think "oh well, I will repent and turn to God when I am old, let me enjoy my sinful life for a bit longer". Let me tell you: you can't outplay God. He could let you die at the age of 84 or in 2 years already. But you could also die in 12 minutes and 38 seconds. You don't know. When you die you missed the chance, then there is no way back. Make the decision today!
